Before we dig into the guides and since I did mention jewelry was included, I wanted to share a couple quick tips if you're buying jewelry as a gift. Jewelry can be challenging to buy for someone else, especially if it's your first time. Here are three simple tips to keep in mind while you're searching for that perfect piece of jewelry:
1- Do you know if the recipient has any skin allergies? If you're unsure, try picking out rings, bracelets and necklaces instead of earrings. Many people are allergic to nickel, which can be found frequently in jewelry. Ears are a very common place that allergic reactions can happen.
2- Keep it simple. Simple jewelry is always a winner as a gift because it can be easily mixed and matched with the recipients other accessories.
3- A quick way to figure out someone's ring size is to take their shoe size (assuming you know this), divide it by two and add three. For example, my shoe size is seven. So .... 7 divided by 2 = 3.5 and + 3 = 6.5, which is pretty spot on to my actual ring size. This works well to determine the ring finger size, but not as accurate for determining the other fingers.
I hope you find these quick tips helpful when buying jewelry.
